In the investment world there is a class of opportunity reserved for people with the right connections who are able to put down large sums of money. These opportunities offer high returns and assume a certain level of savvy in the investor. Over the years I have had the privilege of being invited into these deals while also learning from experienced individuals who have made their wealth in this way. 

 

These investments are only for accredited investors and are usually only offered to wealthy entities that can fund large amounts, because it's easier for an investment management team to answer questions from one person who invested 3 million dollars vs. 30 people who invested $100,000 each. In the past I have invested friends money in my own name so they could have access to these opportunities, but this leads to tax implications for me. So that I may be able to further support my friends and colleagues to share in these investments while streamlining and legitimizing the management and financial processes, I have created Halligan Capital.  This private equity fund will allow regular folks to break into otherwise reserved investments.
